How to download
Open a video on Instagram
Any page on instagram.com that plays a video.
Click the Tentek icon
The extension lists every file it detected on the page.
Pick quality and download
The file is saved straight to your computer.
If something went wrong
The extension does not see a Reel
Reels load as you scroll, so until the clip actually starts playing there is no file in the browser yet. Open the Reel on its own page, let playback begin, then click the Tentek icon.
Stories will not save
Stories load one at a time and replace each other. Pause on the frame you want with a long press — the extension will pick up that one. Swipe past it and the previous story is evicted from the browser cache.
The wrong clip downloads from a carousel
In a multi-slide post every clip is a separate file, fetched only once that slide is shown. Swipe to the one you want, let it play, then open the popup — it will be in the list.
A video from a private account is not detected
The extension sees exactly what your browser sees. If the account is private and you do not follow it, the file is simply not on the page — and working around that is not something the extension can or should do.
The file came out silent
That means only the video track was taken. On some Instagram clips the audio arrives as a separate stream and has to be muxed in — pick the entry marked video+audio. These downloads are rate-limited on the free tier.
